Burger Radio Intern Opportunity

Burger Records has a new 24/7 radio station in beta testing. Burger Radio is looking for a college student with at least one year of progress towards a degree in: Information Technology, Computer Science or a Computer Engineering related field. You should live in the Los Angeles or Orange County area.


You will gain great hands-on experience working on multiple Open Source technologies and get exposure to a wide variety of cutting edge products and technologies including:


  • Echo Nest for song metadata
  • Remote live audio broadcasting hardware
  • Jabber/XMPP
  • Icecast
  • Docker / Virtualization
  • Twilio / Telephony


Qualifications wanted:


  • Linux experience
  • BASH and Python scripting experience
  • Open Source project participation
  • Basic TCP/IP networking experience
  • Air guitar or tambourine experience


What you will be doing:


Help automate everything for Burger Radio, learn to do remote broadcasts for Burger Records’ shows, teach Burger bands, djs and artists how to broadcast econo. If qualified, you’ll also release Open Source code produced by Burger Radio.
